Room Booking

There are number of rooms and IT suites available for booking in Vale of Glamorgan Libraries. 

 

To book a room at Cowbridge or Penarth Libraries please contact the library directly to check availability and discuss your requirements. Rates vary for out of hours room hire.

 

Please note: In the event of a cancellation less than 24 hours prior to the time the room was booked for a £5 cancellation charge will be payable.

 

Barry Library

To book a room at Barry Library please complete a booking form:

 

  • Philip John Room

    Capacity: 35

    Facilities:

    • Wi-Fi: via The Cloud

    • Projector with screen

    • Urn available for boiling water but groups are responsible for supplying their tea, coffee etc.

    Cost: £21 per hour / £85 per day

  • Community Room

    Capacity: 8 

    Facilities:

    • Wi-Fi: via The Cloud

    • Urn available for boiling water but groups are responsible for supplying their tea, coffee etc.

    Cost: £16 per hour / £75 per day 

  • Board Room

    Capacity: 10

    Facilities:

     

    • Wi-Fi: via The Cloud

    • Urn available for boiling water but groups are responsible for supplying their tea, coffee etc.

    Cost: £21 per hour / £125 per whole day

  • Barry Library IT Suite

    Capacity: 12

    Facilities:

    • Wi-Fi: via The Cloud

    • Projector with Smart Board

    • Jumbo keyboard, tracker mouse and other accessibility equipment available

    Cost: £42 per half day or part of a day

  • Barry Library Makerspace

    Our Makerspaces are an ideal option for your next meeting. With provisions for tea and coffee making, a large Interactive TV for presentations and space to comfortably host up to 12 people, it’s the perfect spot for your next meeting.

    • Interactive TV

    • Member of staff to welcome you and provide a brief introduction of our facilities

    • Two large foldaway tables dependent on your room requirements 

    • Seating for up to 12 people dependent on your room requirements

    • A quiet, private space

    • Toilet access

  • wall-mounted screen/monitor

  • tea/coffee machine (charged)

Cost: £20 per half day or part of a day 

Penarth Library
